Today's story is one of my favorites this year. The second 2023 Elopement was Yasmir and Robin and they wanted to celebrate it for two days with his family and closest friends. We spent the first day in Reykjavík. They stayed at the Hotel Edition where they got ready in two different rooms to have a first look in the church of Hallgrimskirkja. It was a very special moment. The ceremony was beautiful and the vow’s exchange was very emotional. After the ceremony the whole family and friends went on a sightseeing tour around the city and we went to the lighthouse of Grotta Island to take their just married photos!
After spending a little time in the cold wind we headed to the Harpa building, where they had the most elegant and beautiful reception, dinner and party, all organized by the great team of wedding planners Pink Iceland.
The party did not end late because the next morning we got up early and drove to the South part of Iceland. First stop, Skógafoss. It is certainly and will always be my favorite waterfall in Iceland for elopement pictures. Although Yasmir was very cold, he wanted to have photos with his impressive wedding dress on his wedding day so without a coat but with crampons we took the first photos in the famous waterfall.
After Skógafoss we headed to Reynisfjara Beach or Black Sand Beach to continue with its elopement shooting and once there we saw that the cold and wind were very strong, so the stop was shorter. Unfortunately, that day it had snowed a lot and Robin's and Yasmir van got stuck in the snow. However, a group of really nice Icelandic people helped us right away and we could continue at the last stop. Cliffs and Mountain Views in Dyrholaey. Adventure, cold, emotions, elegance, are just some of the words with which they could define their winter wedding. Yasmir and Robin's elopement in Iceland was undoubtedly a wedding that we will never forget.
